Welcome to my new site! This portfolio of wedding imagery has been in the works for the last few years and exists alongside my teaching and fine art production. It is so wonderful to realize how these seemingly different aspects of my life can overlap and inspire each other.
I have been shooting, exhibiting and publishing portraiture and lifestyle photography for over a decade and remain inspired by the landscape of the Pacific Northwest, especially the Skagit Valley and San Juan Islands where I grew up and visit often. I earned a B.A. in Studio Art from Scripps College in Southern California and an MFA in Photography and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York, NY. My fine art and lifestyle images have been featured in publications including The New York Times, Time Magazine, Newsweek, The Advocate, OUT, Marie Claire and The New Yorker. I currently live in Seattle, Washington and was named among the "Best Of" The Knot Magazine in 2013.
